Unarmed guards

Complete State-recognised curricula covering access control, patrolling, fire basics, emergencies, and legal awareness. Deploy only after certification and agency induction.

Armed deployment

Armed capability requires additional weapon licences and training tracks — not every PSARA agency starts armed. Do not market armed services without lawful permissions.

Supervisors

Rules commonly prescribe supervisor-to-guard ratios (often around 1:15, tighter when posts are spread). Supervisors need experience and training beyond entry-level guards.

Medical & physical standards

Some States publish height, chest, hearing, and medical examination requirements. Annual medicals appear in several Rule sets.

Agency induction

Even trained guards need site-specific briefing: emergency contacts, restricted zones, visitor rules, and escalation paths.
